Time for Carole and I to travel to Guatemala.
This is our fourth trip.
We will work/visit La Puerta Abierta Escuela (The Open Door School) in the Santiago Atitlan region.
It is always delightful to reconnect with the wonderful teachers and children at the school.
It is especially heartwarming to spend time in the classroom with the Preschool and Kindergarten classes.
We will also get to spend time at their new building, pictured below, which houses the upper grades. As part of their fundraiser we had had a Loose Change Jar located in the upstairs hall at school.
We raised $163.00 in coins wow!!!
We also sold a lot of items (made by the mothers at the school), so that in itself was very successful and every bit helps.
